What is Tap?
Tap lets people use one profile everywhere to sign in or sign up- just Tap your phone once to share info instantly.
How does Tap work?
We use NFC tags (the same tech used in Tap to pay). A person Taps their phone, see's a quick approval screen, and shares the fields you request from their Tap profile.
Does Tap replace our portal or tools? And why add it if we already have one?
No. Tap works side-by-side with what you already use. Keep your portal and forms. Tap simply removes typing and password hurdles so check-ins move faster and records stay more accurate.
What data can we collect?
Basics like name, phone, address, email- plus insurance details, emergency contacts, signatures, and photos (e.g., insurance card). Fields are totally customizable.
Is Tap secure and HIPAA compliant?
Yes. We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and consent-based sharing. We support HIPAA-compliant deployments and will sign a BAA when handling PHI.
What hardware do we need?
Just the NFC tags we provide. Works with modern iPhone and Android devices- no special readers.
We ask a few specific questions Tap users probably don't have stored- what then?
After the Tap, any missing or one-off fields prompt a quick type-in. All the known, redundant info is shared instantly, and the few specific questions get answered in seconds with the same flow.
